Lessons 6-7: Earth and Mars
Lesson 6: Earth: Blue Paint and Green Tissue Paper
Supplies:
-Blue paint
-Green tissue paper OR White tissue paper and green paint
-Liquid Glue
Directions for Children
- Paint planet blue.
- Let Dry.
- While its drying rip pieces of green tissue paper into small pieces. (If you don’t have green you can paint white tissue paper green and let it dry as well)
- When the paint is dry, glue the green tissue paper onto the planet to create the land.
Lesson 7: Mars: Colored Sand
Supplies:
-Sand
-Food coloring in red OR red paint
-Large Ziplock bag
-Glue
To Prep: Make this recipe of colored sand with your child and leave it out on trays or in bins for your child at the play table. Other ideas to add include astronaut or alien toys.

Alternative: You can also purchase colored sand if you have it or simply use red paint.
Directions:
- Mars: Glue your colored sand to create the planet Mars.
